[March, 14 2023] IMS has set a 60% reduction target by 2034, supported by Sustainable Waterloo Region’s Impact Network. This is IMS’s first target as a pledging partner!
IMS’s target is an absolute reduction target with baseline data from 2020. Their target is based on data from three locations, one in Waterloo Region, and two in the UK. This is the largest geographically scoped target we currently have! Their target is set upon data from Scope 1 and 2 emissions.
“At IMS, we’re thrilled to partner with the Sustainable Waterloo Region’s Impact Network to amplify our green initiatives. It’s great that we can join forces together as a global company and focus on unity and purpose as we do our part in making our home a greener planet. With SWR, we’re #DrivingChange towards a more sustainable future.” – Aria Manoochehri, Head of HR.
IMS is a vehicle and driving data business, delivering telematics-based solutions to global insurers and governments. They have been a member of Impact Network since 2022. IMS has worked to assemble a global green team in collaboration with SWR. They are now taking steps to lower their emissions while demonstrating their commitment to corporate social responsibility and their surrounding communities.
“IMS is leading in our community by considering all of their global locations in one comprehensive GHG target”, said Tova Davidson, Executive Director of Sustainable Waterloo Region. “A 60% absolute reduction target is a strong statement that sustainability, and the benefits it will bring to their company, is a priority for IMS, and we are so happy to be supporting them on this journey with carbon accounting, coaching, professional development, and best practices, among other services!”
We are very excited to support IMS in setting their GHG reduction target, and foresee their progress and commitment along the way!
