Each April, leaders from the Ontario building industry congregate to hear from building science experts at Building Knowledge Canada’s Spring Training conference. Attendees range from contractors to architects, utilities to consultants, academics to public servants. 2025 was an exciting year for the Impact Network! Marking its 16th year in the community, the network welcomed new members to the network of sustainability champions.

SWR is proud to share that this year, our shovels broke ground on 19 new microforests, each contributing to the naturalization of small urban spaces. Since our program began in 2021, we have planted 5,183 trees and shrubs across 55 microforests, steadily increasing the number of plantings each year. We are always delighted to welcome both returning and new partners, collaborators, and sponsors as our program continues to grow. Looking back on the year, it’s rewarding to reflect on our accomplishments, the communities we’ve served, and everyone who helped make this year so successful.

As we wrap up our 11th annual Carbon Cleanse event, we want to celebrate all the incredible hard work from our participants. Over 150 participants from a dozen organisations joined us in our fun, weekly challenges, which were designed to help incorporate sustainable habits into their day-to-day lives.
