Sustainable Waterloo Region (SWR) is pleased to announce that CHANGE Lifestyle & Apparel has joined the Regional Sustainability Initiative as an Observing Organization!

As a member, CHANGE Lifestyle & Apparel is connected to an extensive member network of organizations that share and learn sustainability best practices. Our network helps members improve their understanding of the impact of their operations and gives members access to program resources. The membership helps build a culture of sustainability among the organization’s employees, and provides strategies to engage employees as sustainability advocates that set and achieve realistic sustainability targets.

CHANGE Lifestyle & Apparel is an amazing addition to the Sustainable Waterloo Region network,” said Tova Davidson, Executive Director of Sustainable Waterloo Region.  “CHANGE is an organization that is not only invested in reducing their own impact, but also supporting other businesses that are committed to a better world. This local retailer (virtual and in person in beautiful St, Jacobs), only sells products from B Corps. This innovative business model compounds the impact of every dollar their customers spend!”

CHANGE Lifestyle & Apparel is a family run local business committed to sustainability and helping their community prosper. They exclusively offer a range of B Corp lifestyle products and apparel and donate the first 10% of every dollar to local charities. Built on the foundation of combining business best practices with environmental awareness, CHANGE Lifestyle & Apparel is also a B Corp Certified Pending organization. They believe in sustainable development and in the importance of educating the community on the impacts of their purchases. You can learn more about what it means to be a B Corp on B Corp’s Official Website, or by clicking here.

“We are excited to be part of a community that is proactive in making a difference today and tomorrow,” said Dan Vandermolen, CHANGE Lifestyle & Apparel Owner & President. “The inspiration to do better is only successful when supported by like-minded passionate people and organizations. We are thrilled to be in the company of all those that call Sustainable Waterloo Region home, and look forward to learning and growing our business alongside those trying to do better for all.”

In their first year of operating, CHANGE Lifestyle & Apparel is committed to:

  • Leverage Membership supports available to move from pending B Corp to fully certified B Corp.
  • Hosting/Initiating 4 events/workshops that are related to environmental preservation and sustainability here in store.
  • Incorporate sustainability criteria into all purchasing policies and continue to select vendors that offer eco-friendly solutions.

To further celebrate joining this sustainability network, CHANGE Lifestyle & Apparel has also shared that they will be providing a 15% discount to Sustainable Waterloo Region’s member network on their CHANGE Apparel, which includes hats, toques, flip flops and t-shirts!

We are excited to welcome such a forward-thinking organization and look forward to the lessons we will learn from each other!

I am a website designer. Recently, I am designing a website template about gate.io. The boss’s requirements are very strange, which makes me very difficult. I have consulted many websites, and later I discovered your blog, which is the style I hope to need. thank you very much. Would you allow me to use your blog style as a reference? thank you!
