As the organizer of both the Kitchener and Cambridge Ribfest & Craft Beer Show events, we are striving to divert waste into compost and recycling. In 2016, #KWRibfest, implemented a Green Waste initiative to reduce our waste while increasing our waste diversion through recycling and composting. In 2017, we managed to divert over 50% of public waste from landfill and in 2024, 72% of public waste was diverted. Our goal is to divert 90% of all waste by 2025. Help us to continue to reduce waste and Go Green!
