Be part of the City of Kitchener’s fall planting kickoff and come plant trees in one of the 2025 Community Canopy program areas. For more details about Community Canopy, please visit here.
This planting event also marks the exciting launch of Growing Kitchener’s Urban Canopy, a new City project that will plant 20,000 new trees across Kitchener over the next two years, helping to green our streets, parks and public spaces for generations to come. The project is supported by a grant from the Government of Canada through the Federation of Canadian Municipalities’ Growing Canada’s Community Canopies program as well as corporate sponsorship and community support. This funding will support the City’s Growing Kitchener’s Urban Canopy project and matches the next two years of the City’s planned spending to expedite the growth of Kitchener’s urban forest.
Meeting Point: Look for the tables set up near the lower playground.
Parking: Street parking is available nearby. You may also park at Meinzinger Soccer Park or St. Bernadette Catholic School and walk over.
