In 2024, they further improved these numbers to 51% local food and 89% local beverages company-wide, reducing transportation costs and CO2 emissions.

The company uses reusable shipping containers for event catering, offers ceramic dish service to minimize waste, and ensures all disposables are compostable or recyclable. At events and in the kitchen, they are diligent about recycling and composting, collecting over 30,000 pounds of compost and 14,000 pounds of recyclables in 2024.
Little Mushroom Catering also plans its menus around seasonal produce and follows OceanWise guidelines to prioritize sustainable seafood. Their focus on plant-based options and homemade preserves showcases their dedication to low-impact, local, and sustainable food choices.
Little Mushroom Catering’s approach is rooted in collaboration, building strong connections with local suppliers to create a streamlined supply chain that offers sustainable dining experiences.
In their Little Mushroom Dining Lounge, they host a “Meet the Maker” series, connecting guests with local artisans such as winemakers, brewers, and farmers. This initiative not only supports the community but also fosters a deeper connection to the region’s food culture. It’s about creating authentic and memorable experiences for our guests while supporting the local economy and promoting sustainability.”
