It is with great excitement and immense gratitude that we take a moment to recognize and celebrate the generous sponsors who collaborated with us for the very first time to make our 9th annual Carbon Cleanse competition a grand success! Carbon Cleanse is an annual competition that challenges organizations and their employees to reduce their environmental impact.
For the first time in Carbon Cleanse history, we were able to provide gifts to support the weekly themed challenges, surprises to promote activities and engagement, and a grand prize for the winning organization!
Participating organizations won over 30 prizes before, during, and after the competition. Thanks to Bruce Power, we gave out an Abus bike lock, Patagonia gift card, Yeti mug, and EasyGo fare cards. Free lunches were made possible through downtown dollars provided by Downtown KitchenerBIA while Uptown Waterloo provided uptown dollars for our mid-competition surprise gifts. Finally, we had a grand prize of a catered lunch provided by Little Mushroom Catering thanks to Bruce Power, and a beautiful basket of gifts as the second prize courtesy of Gifted!
