Membership Options

There are three membership levels available for the Regional Carbon Initiative (RCI).

• Observing Organizations receive full access to all RCI services necessary to achieve greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reductions and work toward making a future GHG reduction commitment, or have made a commitment but use an alternate program for tracking and reporting their progress.
• Pledging Partners work toward a 10-year GHG emissions reduction target using the RCI’s full service offering to implement cost-effective reduction strategies and report their annual reductions to Sustainable Waterloo Region.
• Sustaining Partners are Pledging Partners that have generously committed to a higher annual financial investment in Sustainable Waterloo Region. Their added support strengthens SWR’s capacity to achieve its mission.

Membership Fee

The annual membership fee ranges from $500 to $5,000 and is determined by the number of employees within your organization.
