TravelWise

Sustainable Waterloo Region is proud to provide support services for TravelWise – the Region of Waterloo’s new Transportation Management Association. This program allows organizations across Waterloo Region to offer innovative and sustainable transportation options to their employees in order to reduce the number of single-occupancy vehicles traveling on our roads. By promoting sustainable transportation like walking, cycling, utilizing our public transit system, or carpooling, TravelWise can ease parking concerns, relieve traffic congestion, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, promote healthy lifestyles, and improve quality of life.

Employers can improve individual commuting options for their workforce by playing a key role in providing healthy, affordable, and sustainable transportation choices for employees. TravelWise is available to employers across the Region, and helps member organizations implement the following programs with employees:

• A ride matching service for carpoolers.
• Grand River Transit (GRT) discounted corporate passes.
• Emergency Ride Home Service for employees who need to leave work in emergency situations.
• Employer Reporting that provides employees with simple tools to track their daily commute.
