Member Services

Regional Carbon Initiative members can implement cost-effective greenhouse gas reduction projects after attending our comprehensive event season that examines sustainability strategies, using our support services that guide members to achieve reductions, and accessing the sustainability networks that connect members to peer and professional expertise. Sustainable Waterloo Region then provides credible recognition of members’ advancements toward environmentally sustainable operations.

Carbon Accounting Tool

Regional Carbon Initiative members are provided with an easy-to-use Carbon Accounting Tool that quantifies and reports their GHG emission data. Sustainable Waterloo Region’s GHG Services team fully supports and trains members in setting up and using this online tool.

Events

Sustainable Waterloo Region hosts an event season focused on connecting members with the expertise and collaborative learning opportunities necessary to move their organizations towards more sustainable operations.

All RCI members receive complementary passes to events. If members are unable to attend events or wish to review speaker presentations, all event presentations are recorded and made available through MemberLink, the RCI online community.

Resources

Regional Carbon Initiative (RCI) resources connect members to the information and people necessary to achieve reductions, including the GHG Services Directory, which helps Regional Carbon Initiative members meet their carbon reduction targets by connecting them with experienced GHG service professionals who help them identify and realize reduction opportunities.

Other resources include member-requested documents like our Green Team Guide, technical and RCI-specific documents like our Milestone Guide, and third-party documents like the GHG Protocol.

MemberLink, the Regional Carbon Initiative online community, is a central repository for all resources and provides access to all RCI services, including the Carbon Accounting Tool, event registration, and member forums.
