This technical workshop provided attendees with a framework to begin recommissioning their workspace by looking at the processes of analyzing the efficiency and cost saving benefits of recommissioning for both building owners and leasers.
Organizations learned about the best financial incentives and rebates available to them to move towards more sustainable operations. Financial incentive programs discussed included those administered through our local hydro distribution companies (Cambridge and North Dumfries Hydro, Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro, and Waterloo North Hydro), Union Gas, and Waterloo Region’s Water Services Department.

On March 22nd, 2011, Sustainable Waterloo hosted 300 people to celebrate the commitments and achievements of our 2010 Regional Carbon Initiative members.
