Observing Organization

Serving Waterloo Region and the surrounding areas since 1999, Quiet Nature remains committed to its mission of integrating ecology with professional landscape design; two realms that should rarely be separated, but all too often are. Driven by a passion for the outdoors, thoughtful design, and high quality workmanship, Quiet Nature constantly pushes to create landscapes with clear aesthetic beauty and environmental sensitivity; landscapes that demand less – time, resources, energy – but give back so much more.

Notable GHG Reduction and Sustainability Projects:

  • Constantly seeking to reduce GHG emissions by finding clients, local suppliers and service providers close by
  • Quiet Nature is gradually turning their entire 10 acre property into a demonstration site for both large and small scale sustainable landscape solutions. The first stage of wild flower meadow creation went through its second growing season this past year with great results. They also installed a demonstration lawn alternative landscape and large, organic staff garden in the spring of 2012.

Sustainability Culture at Quiet Nature Ltd.:

Quiet Nature constantly seeks ways improve internal efficiency, waste reduction, re-use of materials, and service development, and discussions of these topics as a group take place on a regular basis.

Sustainability Goals:

  1. To become a leader in providing sustainable landscape solutions to residential, commercial, and institutional clients throughout Waterloo Region and  the surrounding areas.
